Our Clip Chart
At Woodland, we use a Clip Chart to help track behavior. The entire class starts fresh each day in the middle of the chart, on green. The students will move up or down the chart, depending on the choices they make during the school day. If your child is making positive choices, they will clip up the chart. If a student clips all the way up, they have the opportunity to clip off the chart and onto a teacher or administrator. If a child is making poor choices, they will clip down the chart. If a student reaches the bottom of the chart, parent contact will be made.
Class Dojo
Our class will be track their behavior using a point-based system called Class Dojo. Students will earn and lose points for tasks such as classroom behaviors, positive notes, compliments earned, turning in homework, attitude, hallway skills, and following the Habits. Families can use Dojo to track and check points, access a messenger to chat with me, and also view our Class Story, our classroom blog. Class Story will post reminders, event updates, pictures of Woodland activities, and celebrations. Families can access this amazing resource once signed up with a provided classroom code.
